Eurasian Crossroads

Eurasia in the present and future

An International Scientific Peer-Reviewed Journal on Eurasian Area Studies

Dear friends!

We welcome you in the website of International Scientific Journal

Eurasian Crossroads

Eur. Crossrd.

An International Scientific Peer-revewed Journal on Eurasian Area Studies.

Eurasian Crossroads is a social science journal aimed at multifaceted discussion of Eurasia as a whole (area studies), its salience, and its importance in the modern globalised world. Manuscripts on Eurasian societies, cultures, politics, economies and other matters related to Eurasian space, will be welcomed, if they satisfy the two criteria: 1) they must relate to the present or future of Eurasia; and 2) they must deal not with separate Eurasian cultures, but with Eurasia as a whole. Articles on the historical past of Eurasia are acceptable only if they clearly show the modern trends of Eurasian development in comparison with the historical past. Herodotus once said, "I cannot conceive why three names, Asia, Europe and Africa... should ever have been given to a tract which is in reality one." What constitutes modern Eurasia as a unity, despite obvious discrepancies of its parts? How does Eurasia oppose itself to Americas, NATO, Transatlantic Union and the rest of the world? What is the role of Eurasianism in this?

We are eager to invite academic researchers and practitioners to discussing ways and routes of the modern development of Eurasian region.

Dr Konstantin S. Sharov
